I’ve been thinking about quiet places lately. The kind you return to.
This is a space for quiet attention. Here, thoughts can unfold at their own pace, and feelings are given room to breathe. Words aren’t hurried; they linger, grow, and reveal themselves naturally. This blog is one of those places.

I’ve always been fascinated by the quiet forces that shape us. As a result, I pay close attention to the small moments. These moments linger long after we’ve passed from one page into the next. In this space, this blog exists for those moments. It shares thoughtful stories and emotional depth. It allows the gentle unfolding of what it means to feel deeply, think honestly, and write with intention.

I’m Lola Ovayoza — a Nigerian writer and storyteller. At the heart of my work, I create literary fiction. I write psychological thrillers and character-driven narratives. These stories explore identity, love, trauma, memory, and transformation. Often, I find myself asking: What happens when someone finally tells the truth? And what does healing look like when no one is watching?
Because these questions matter to me, this blog exists as a place to hold them.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Reflections on writing and the spaces between words
  • Thoughts on creativity, identity, and emotional landscapes
  • Short essays on the stories that live inside us
  • Occasional fragments of fiction that don’t have a home yet
  • Little ideas that, over time, might matter more than you think

Beyond books, my creative life doesn’t start and end with books. I create in fashion through minimal styling and design. I love the minimal aspect of beauty. The part where you intentionally care for your skin, lips, and body. My creative life also thrives on a quiet curiosity about the human heart and life. So, on this page, I’ll share the threads that link those things together.

Ultimately, this is more than a blog. Rather, it’s a place where reflection meets narrative. In this place, depth matters more than noise. Here, we slow down long enough to feel what’s already there.

Thank you for being here.
I’m glad you found your way.
And I hope that you enjoy being here.
